Richard Kwan
Second year trainee solicitor
Richard joined Dawson Cornwell in September 2011 as a trainee solicitor. He studied law at University College, London, where he won the Faculty Research Prize for a dissertation on domestic violence. He completed his LPC at BPP Holborn in 2010.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a family law clerk assisting in a range of cases from child abduction to financial settlement. During the LPC, Richard volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau and National Centre for Domestic Violence. He also ran a project at BPP Law School aimed at improving legal literacy among children, and was shortlisted for the LawWorks & Attorney General Student Awards 2010 for Best Contribution by an Individual Student in addition to winning two pro bono prizes at BPP.
Richard has written a number of articles on aspects of family law including pre-nuptial agreements which have been published.
