Russell trained at Dawson Cornwell and was admitted as a solicitor in 1985. He is named as one of the leading family lawyers in London in both Chambers and The Legal 500.
He advises on all areas of family law, particularly marital breakdown, finance, children and non-marital family breakdown.
Russell is the author of the matrimonial costs section of "Atkins Court Forms" published by Butterworths. He is a member of the International Bar Association, the British Nordic Lawyers Association and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. He is also a trained mediator with the Family Mediators Association.
Russell also provides pro bono legal advice on family law at Islington Legal Advice Centre.
