Carolina is a Spanish Abogado, who cross-qualified as a Solicitor in 2006.

She specialises in international cases; jurisdiction disputes (divorce and children), child abduction, registration and enforcement of foreign contact orders, leave to remove, residence, contact and public law.

Carolina graduated from the University of Murcia, Spain with a degree in law. She studied international family and Italian procedural law for a year at the Università degli Studi Magna Græcia, Italy on a European Commission "Erasmus" scholarship. She joined Dawson Cornwell in 2003 having won a second European Commission scholarship under the "Leonardo Da Vinci" programme after being specially selected by the Fundación Universidad Empresa in Murcia and qualified as a European Lawyer in 2004.

In 2011 she was awarded by the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers with the First European Chapter Award for Young Family Lawyers for her essay about "The Brussels II bis Regulation - Five Years On and Proposals for Reform" - click here.

Carolina is the Secretary of the British and Spanish Law Association. She is a member of the Spanish Association of Family Lawyers, AEAFA, Resolution, Reunite: International Child Abduction Centre, the Society of British and Argentine Lawyers and the Association of Lawyers for Children.

Carolina has been listed as a notable practitioner in the private client section of Chambers Global 2012.

She volunteers for the advice line Rights of Women and is a frequent lecturer on family law.

Carolina's mother tongue is Spanish. She also speaks fluent English and Italian.
