Solicitor
Charlotte joined Dawson Cornwell as an assistant solicitor in February 2011. She obtained an upper second class honours degree in Law and a Commendation in the Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield.
Charlotte qualified in 2005 and has been practicing family law since 2007. She advises on all aspects of private family law issues, specialising in children related matters such as contact and residence as well as financial orders in respect of children. She also advises on all issues relating to the breakdown of relationships including divorce, cohabitation and applications for a financial remedy. Charlotte has experience in dealing with relationships at their commencement; drafting and advising on pre nuptial and pre civil partnership agreements.
Prior to beginning her practice in the field of family law, Charlotte practiced commercial litigation including issues such as breach of contract, negligence, nuisance, civil fraud, restraint and confiscation, directors’ disqualification, shareholder and partnership disputes and corporate and personal insolvency. This experience has been of particular use in her contentious trust practice, where she has been involved in complex litigation centring on assets held in an estate or by a trust.
